At Ashford Borough Citizens Advice we rely on paid staff and experienced volunteers to provide the service. All volunteers receive comprehensive training to enable them to carry out their roles. With their help we can provide you with vital advice and information services.
Useful paperwork to bring with you
All benefit award letters, appeal decisions, medical assessments and any other correspondence from HMRC or. DWP
If you would like us to carry out a benefit check we will need details of all household income
including payslips & P60’s, details of rent, Council Tax and your most recent Bank statement.
All correspondence relating to the debt/s, Bailiff’s letters, fines, County Court
judgements, credit card statements, details of all income to the household.
Please bring with you your tenancy agreement, rent book, dispute
letters, Court papers for eviction or possession, evidence of repair or
damage, Letting Agent contracts, benefit award letters, or any other
paperwork relevant to the issue you wish to discuss.
Please bring with you your contract of employment, payslips, staff
handbook, grievance letters, disciplinary letters, or any other
paperwork relevant to the issue you wish us to help you with.
Please bring all paperwork which may include receipts, contracts,
adverts, correspondence and dispute letters.
RELATIONSHIPS & FAMILY
We can offer general advice on relationship breakdown, children,
contact, neighbour disputes, divorce procedure, young people’s
rights, & education. This list is not exhaustive; please bring the
paperwork relating to the issue you would like help with.
PLEASE NOTE: we are not legally trained therefore if you need legal
advice we will be able to give you a list of local solicitors.
